In Vietnamese Culture today, we are learning about Trịnh Công Sơn- a famous musician in Vietnam. He's well-known for his sad but inspirational songs. In 1968, he wrote the song "Nối Vòng Tay Lớn" - "The Great Circle of Vietnam", which is about the reconciliation between the North and the South of Vietnam.

6X had a lovely time listening to Richard Fuller and Lee Kirby sing some of Trịnh Công Sơn's famous songs. As expected, we had a wonderful time singing "Nối Vòng Tay Lớn- The Great Circle of Vietnam" in both Vietnamese and English.

Book Week has been brilliant and is filled with plenty of fun and extraodinary activitties.
Besides having the excuse to read a lot throuhghtout the day, one of the highlights activities is "Character Parade" :) It was amazing to see all the effort that children put into their costume. So colourful, so festive ....just plainly fantastic.
MP3 team dressed up as Sam- "Cat in the Hat". Funny to see many cats wandering around school.

It's been a fabulous week so far.
The children enjoy their "science fiction" writing and are excited to get on with their own stories.
For entertainment, they are working hard for preparation for Moon Festival song. There are still a bit of this and that to improve, but they are working hard. I'm so proud of them.
